On April 28, 2008, the FDA informed doctors and patients that this prescription medication is the subject of a nationwide Class I recall because of the possibility that some tablets were manufactured containing twice the indicated amount of medication.

Symptoms of toxicity may include weakness, fatigue, irregular heart beat, difficulty breathing, dizziness, delirium, nausea and vomiting.
