A new law has become effective, July 1, 2014, regarding Tennessee Worker’s Compensation. The Tennessee legislature has enacted a new program for all work-related injuries throughout the state, effective for all injuries occurring on or after July 1st, 2014.

There are some major changes for both employees and employers, so it is more important than ever that you consult an attorney as soon as possible if you suffer any injury on the job. The changes are too numerous to explain here, but I am linking a short brochure from the Tennessee Department of Labor that provides an overview.

In addition, your benefits are explained in the following link, also from the Tennessee Department of Labor website: http://tennessee.gov/labor-wfd/wcomp/employees_info.shtml#BENEFITS

At Stillman and Friedland, we are available anytime to explain the law, your rights, and all of the details you need to know.  All of this is at no cost to you, by either phone or email. Get the information you need to protect your rights in case of an injury on the job.
